WI VS AUS MATCH & ANALYSIS
Australia managed to win the fourth T20 international against the West Indies by the skin of its teeth. Mitchell Marsh put in a spectacular performance as he starred with both the bat and the ball. West Indies would have been disappointed at falling short by 4 runs in the end. They seemingly had the game won but Andre Russell could not get Mitchell Starc away in the final over.
Now, the fifth and final T20 is here and while there is nothing for either team to gain, keeping the winning momentum going is absolutely crucial for both teams.
We will try to find some of the best betting markets available for West Indies vs Australia just as we have been doing so far.
Match prediction and cricket betting tips for West Indies vs Australia 5th T20 2021. Online Betting Id The match is going to be played at the Darren Sammy Stadium, Gros Islet, St. Lucia on the 16th of July 2021.
WI VS AUS TEAM PREVIEWS
West Indies did not play badly to lose its previous match. It changed out its two leading bowlers (Obed McCoy and Dwayne Bravo) to give chances to a few other players and still came very close to winning. Take Mitchell Marsh out of the lineup and the rest of the players were not able to score off the West Indian bowlers with any great pace.
There is a chance that the West Indies team could bring back some of its players or maybe even play a full-strength team for the final T20. It could also end up resting some of its other players and cause a change in the balance once more.
Only at the toss will we be able to know.
In any case, there is no doubt that the sheer power-hitting potential in the West Indian lineup is incredible. It has managed to hit more sixes than Australia in all of the matches so far. A total of 21 sixes were hit in the fourth match between the two teams.
We recommend looking at the Most Sixes betting market as that has been very profitable for us in this series.
Among the bowlers, Oshane Thomas had a very poor outing and it will be interesting to see if he gets one more chance. cbtf We don’t think he is going to make it to the final set of players selected and having someone like Obed McCoy back is going to strengthen the bowling immensely.
West Indies has bowled better than expected and used the slow pitch to its advantage. That should continue in this final match as well.
Australia played well to win the previous match but it will know that it dodged a bullet in the end. The Australian bowlers had 47 to defend from the last three overs on a pitch that was slow and not easy to score off.
They gave away 36 in the first two overs and it was the brilliance of Mitchell Starc that saved them in the last over.
Australia’s batting remains surprisingly poor. Matthew Wade, Alex Carey, Ashton Turner, Moises Henriques, and even Dan Christian have not been able to get many runs in this series. Aaron Finch struggled but got to a fifty and only Mitchell marsh seemed to have some sort of fluency.
Marsh smashed six sixes and reached his third fifty in the series. That he was able to back it up with three wickets is a testament to his improving all-round game.
To be able to win, Australia will need another similar performance from Marsh or one of its leading batsmen. Individual brilliance has to save Australia because as a team it just does not have the same kind of power or strength that the West Indies does.
Mitchell Starc returning to form was a huge plus but Rilee Meridith has not been the success that his team would have hoped. This means there is scope for changing things around once more. Jason Behrendorff bowled brilliantly and his slower balls were difficult to score off.
Maybe bringing back Hazelwood in place of Merditith and keeping the rest of the lineup same is the way to go for Australia.
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
There is some rain around in St. Lucia and we could have some interruptions but hopefully, the match will still be able to be played. The pitch was flat for the previous match but it was noticeably slower than in previous matches.
There was some time available for the groundsman to work on the surface ahead of this match so it should be a bit better in this match. Online Cricket Id Still, spinners and fast-bowlers that can bowl cutters are going to be very difficult to score off.
A score of around 170 should be seen as par batting first.
